when i think of god I normally think of a presence rather than a white light like most people would lead you to believe but if you want to talk physical appearance i believe that the god and goddess could have some form of energetic bal like a ball of energy in the middle of a reactor or a "magical" ball like in a picture. that is how i physically percieve the physical manifestations of the god and godess. although the god and godess are all around us in the earth air water and in our hearts. i believe that the god and godess aside from appearing as forms of energy also appear all around us. i think that the energy that is posessed within the lightening and thunder and rain and sun and wind and waves and currents and all things of nature are also representations of the god and godess. i must admit i cant really choose one pantheon of gods i believe that all gods should have equal worship and you should give all gods equal presence in your life in some way but if i were to choose a pantheon of gods to worship i would have to go towards the egyptian path. i have always been intrigued by egyptian culture and ive always felt protected by the egyptian gods and closest to them. i think the egyptians were the most ethical and rule abiding society and rule that ever lived i think that following the egyptian path could be a way to follow a good way of discipline and motivation to keep me going through this not to want to slack off and become lacquadaisical in my newly found faith i want to do good and be a good wiccan i believe that they can help me achieve that. at this time i cant think of the god and godess in the egyptian pantheon but this is the group i am most drawn to and i have given my reasons why. although there were times where i did feel close to hecate as well as she is the queen mother of all witches i always respect her.

Hecate is my chosen Goddess :) I've always been drawn to her because of her darker aspects and I've been through some dark times in my own life... It feels like a kinship with Her... I envision her in the guise of a raven most of the time (hence the raven pendant I just bought! Now I always feel her around me!) and I often see ravens and crows around my place of work. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is definately a good start to mapping out where you stand on your Path right now. :) I've always thought of the deities more as friends than someone high on a pedestal that I can never reach. If you feel the same, you should definately kick into research mode in high gear to find out everything you can about the Egyptian deities that you're drawn to. Ma'at is my favourite Egyptian goddess... she weighs your soul against the weight of a feather when you die... I actually have a meditiation in regards to that that helps to lighten your soul if you're interested.... :)
